LDFD is the moniker of Justin Ledford -- a 19-year-old from Dallas that is quickly becoming an electronic threat with the track "Outtacontrol." Its elements include music-box synths, southern rap bass, exacto drum programming, brassy chords and spliced ecstatic house vocals. Like London producer Joy Orbison, LDFD has that rare ability to create club-ready material that also works on headphones in bed. Yes, it pays to grow up with a laptop.
